The sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

I finished reading the book called 'The sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' written by Ann Brashares. I read 30 pages this week.

Finally, four main characters; Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget came back their mother country and they felt very happy about they could meet again. At the night, they held the party because they wanted to celebrate that they could meet again in the mother country. Each of them talked about the memory that they experienced during summer vacation. Through the travel in summer vacation, each of them had the precious experiences at the different places and then they could learn the importance of friends and family.

While I was reading this book, I tried to imagine that they could meet again at their home country. It reminded me about myself. In this summer vacation, I went back to Japan for one month and I met again with my friends there. I could sympathize with the main characters' feeling because I also felt happy that I could meet again with my friends in the mother country. Through this book, I could sympathize their feeling and thought many times and also this book remembered me again about the importance of friends.

Is that what drew you to this book? Girls and friendships? Of all your blogs this month, this one is the most relaxed, most conversational. Though you didn't directly name a reading strategy I could see you used one of them: using your own experience to help you understand the characters' motivations better.
