I'm still reading the book called 'The sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' written by Ann Brashares. I read 20 pages in this week.
The chapter that I read this week focus on Lena. She went to Greek to meet her grandmother. One day, she is going out for a walk and while she is walking, she finds so beautiful the lake. And she looks over around the pond, and when she confirms that there is no one as far as she can see, she takes off all her clothes without the Pants, and then she tries to get in the lake. But she forgets that if the jeans pants get wet, it will become really heavy, so she is going to sink easily because of the Pants and she yells very loud. She thinks in her mind that 'This is the most perfect moment of my life'. After a few minutes, one boy rescues her from the lake. She doesn't know him but she is really ashamed because she doesn't wear anything without the Pants.
While I was reading this chapter, I used the reading strategies called 'I use a dictionary to help me understand what I read'. I used the dictionary because I didn't understand the word called 'vineyards' and 'meadows'. And I couldn't make sure the meaning of the sentence, 'She discovered a small spring-fed lake.' I tried to search the meaning of 'spring-fed' with the dictionary but I couldn't find the meaning of it. Also I tried to imagine that she got in the lake and she sank into the water. It reminded me about myself. When I was 14 years old, I had swimming class in the school and then I dove into the pool because I thought that this pool is a shallow. But it was really deep pool and then I sank into the water. My classmates helped me and they laughed at me very much. I remembered my stupid experience through this chapter.

Your reading response reminds me about swimming with wearing closes. Actually ifalt very tired and think it is too dificult to swim with wearing close in water, I agree that it is good way to use strategy you used. It help me to read and understand. I want to use this strategy next time.
Your blog is becoming very formulaic: summary, reading strategy, response. I know I wanted you to do this, but bear in mind, these are guidelines, and you didn't have to be so strict.
